Ladbrokes: next step, Spain

The UK based operator has announced that he has applied for an operator license in Spain. After that last December has already applied for a Sport’s Betting license in Italy, the British bookmaker has decided to get into the Spanish Market. Useless to remind that Ladbrokers is one of the leaders of the market about online gambling casinos and sport betting.

Similarly to the previous license, Ladbrokes has closed a joint venture with a local operator: Cirsa Slot Corp, to add to his centennially experiences the indispensable local know-how of the Spanish clients.

Miguel Alzamora, responsible of the Spain sector, declared by the press conference: "el mercado español es un trabajo en marcha, pero tiene un potencial muy alto. Millón de gente española desea jugar en el online casino pero no tienen buena opción ..." ; which means about that in Spain there is an high potential on this market but the people didn't have a good choice yet.

Christopher Bell, CEO of Ladbrokes plc commented “this represents another step forward in our international aspirations”.

According to a survey commissioned by Ladbrokes and Cirsa the Spanish gambling market is valuated in 29 billion Euro.
